Tech Credit Union has an exciting opportunity to hire a next-level marketing professional as our Marketing Director. Come work with the "Best Credit Union in the Region"! As the Marketing Director, you are responsible for helping drive company growth by building brand awareness through promotion, communication, engaging content, community outreach, and member education. You will assist in cultivating and maintaining awareness within the communities in which the credit union operates. You will also assist the Vice President of Marketing in the creation and implementation of membership and marketing related projects and responsibilities.
Below are the key responsibilities of the Marketing Director:
1. Marketing Management
- Assist in the execution of the annual marketing plan in support of the strategic plan.
- Manage and utilize marketing budget to achieve growth goals within budgetary limits.
- Monitor our competition to ensure proper placement and promotion of credit union products and services in the marketplace.
- Build and manage vendor relationships to improve our marketing resources and processes.
- Create advertising copy for ads, articles, emails, brochures, social media etc.
- Manage marketing content, communications, and promotions to improve brand recognition and grow membership.
- Work with Branch and Department Managers to ensure staff and members are informed about upcoming events, and credit union wide initiatives.
- Work with Senior Management to develop and distribute corporate communications.
2. Website
- Assist in the management and improvement of company website for functionality, content, and member education resources.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - Focus on the on-page experience of the Tech Credit Union website, social media profiles, and Google My Business listings. Includes keyword targeting, user experience, and keeping content and links current.
- Search Engine Marketing (SEM) - Focus on the off-page user experience of keyword targeting, click through rates and linking.
- Monitor Google Ads and Google Analytics for conversions and increase membership and membership retention.
3. Social Media
- Manage our social media and online presence to enhance our brand recognition and reputation.
- Develop and execute the organization’s social media in alignment with the goals and strategies of the credit union.
- Develop timelines and content across all media channels.
- Monitor the credit union social media channels to include responding to Member’s direct messages, comments, and reviews. Research Member questions or complaints to resolve.
4. Community Involvement
- Sponsor and organize community events to promote our brand and increase membership growth.
- Careful planning and preparation to ensure that the details and timeline of an event are clearly defined. From editing, advertising, purchasing items, decorations, food, pickups, deliveries, assemble volunteers/participants, and anything else necessary to ensure the event has a successful outcome.
- Publicize events through community contacts, internally, and through digital channels before and after events.
- Evaluate community engagement activities for effectiveness to determine level of commitment, financial investment and future team member participation sponsorships and events.
5. Business Development
- Work with branches and department staff to create acceptance so they confidently communicate the message for our marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Support efforts of the Business Development Officers and Branch Managers to strengthen credit union relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs).
- Support Branch Managers in deepening their presence in the communities they serve. Assist in organizing participation in their local chamber of commerce, civic organizations, and community events.
6. Marketing Research
- Conduct member surveys, analyze results for opportunities and present findings.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness and return on marketing campaigns, and promotions.
7. Other
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates considered for our Marketing Director role will have:
- 3+ years of marketing, sales, and/or public relations experience, preferably with a financial institution.
- An Associate’s degree; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to create compelling value propositions.
- Ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
- Ease with delivering presentations to groups of various sizes and demographics.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of online platforms such as search engines, social media platforms, websites, emails, mobile apps, and digital advertising networks.
