Epitec is looking for a Marketing Manager in Plano Texas with one of the Shark client/company.

The main function of a marketing manager is to lead the research of market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing manager is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
  • Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.
  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
  • Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.


Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.

MBA preferred with 2-4 years of experience in marketing, business strategy, or product marketing

OR 5-7 years of experience in related field.

Ideal experience spans across a wide variety of examples up to and including, Sport franchises, music, celebrities, lifestyle, and luxury as well digital-first brands/apps

• Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment with a willingness to rapidly ramp up and lead the strategy, selection and measurement of partners with minimal supervision

• Strong ability to collaborate across SEA from a strategic, analytical, and creative perspectives, focus on performance-based marketing outcomes

• A disruptive thinker that has a proven track record of challenging the status quo in order to create new product marketing playbooks

• Experience in the mobile space, specifically mobile consumer hardware and software and how they work together

• Consummate collaborator committed to communication excellence
