MiCA is the result of a partnership between CommonSpirit Health and Morehouse School of Medicine. The organization is dedicated to advancing healthcare education and research in CommonSpirit markets across the country. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Intern to support our marketing team. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing our online presence and engaging with our community and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute social media marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, student recruitment, and engagement.

Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.

Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to improve engagement.

Collaborate with faculty, students, and staff to gather content and highlight achievements, research, and events.

Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, specifically in the education and healthcare sectors.

Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.

Promote virtual and in-person events through social media channels.

Assist in the development of marketing campaigns that align with the school’s goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Student(s) working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field are preferred.

Proven experience in social media marketing, preferably in the education or healthcare sectors.

Strong understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok).

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

Experience in social media management tools and analytics software.

Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of healthcare topics and trends is a plus.

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
