Compensation
- $26.50/hour
What you'll do
- User Research: Conduct user research to gain insights into the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our members. Utilize various research methods such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and communicate design concepts. Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and user testing.
- UI Design: Collaborate with the design team to translate wireframes and prototypes into visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. Implement consistency in design elements and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Interaction Design: Define interactions and micro-interactions that enhance usability and create delightful user experiences.
- Accessibility: Advocate for accessibility best practices and ensure that designs are inclusive and accessible to users of all abilities. Conduct accessibility audits and implement solutions to address any issues identified.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and quality assurance testers to ensure that designs are implemented effectively and meet business requirements.
- Continuous Learning: Learn industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design for health insurance. Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What you need
- Pursuing a degree in User Experience, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects and proficiency with design tools such as Adobe XD, or Figma.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
Bonus if you have
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Passion for healthcare and a desire to make a positive impact on people's lives through design.
- Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Ability in wireframing and prototyping with Miro.
- Ability to plan and analyze usability tests to refine and improve designs.
- Understanding of accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) to ensure designs are inclusive and usable for all users.
