The Business Technology Group is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join their team.

You are a strong full-stack designer with at least 5 years of industry design experience. You have a desire to have an impact within a large organization and have measurable results directly associated with your design work. You are known for fast execution, data-driven design, utilizing commonly used research methodologies, organization, and strategic thinking. You love to communicate through visuals, delight the customer, research customer behaviors, as well as navigate complex organizations. You're comfortable working across multiple products and can execute swiftly as needed.

The Senior User Experience Designer will help transform Great American Insurance Group's (GAIG) digital experiences and deliver on our core value to be a customer-focused organization. This role will help shape extraordinary experiences for users and deliver long-term value for the business. You will have an impact on the design direction of digital experiences across the Enterprise as well as owning and expanding our design system. As a senior user experience designer, you must be able to work closely with Product, Analytics, IT, and Business Unit teams to execute work and consistently provide recommendations and thought leadership. You feel comfortable being empowered in your role and can work collaboratively and autonomously. You are a great strategic designer and communicator and can update leadership on progress in concise informative communications.

Primary Functions
  • Responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction by creating experiences that are easy to use, accessible, and delight our users.
  • Gather user requirements through research and/or workshops
  • Ensures experiences meet objectives and leverage industry best practices and enterprise design systems and governance
  • Use a human-centered approach by researching, defining, ideating, prototyping, and user-testing experiences to create intuitive experiences
  • Analyze customer responses and analytics/behavioral data to examine how experiences are performing and make recommendations for improvement
  • Review implemented designs to ensure proper execution
  • Work across multiple teams and products, as needed, to help meet design deadlines
  • Use storytelling to communicate high-level concepts and research insights in presentations, reports, and workshops
