Overview:

The National Retail Visual Merchandiser is responsible for leading and overseeing the visual merchandising strategies and initiatives for the company's retail locations across Arizona, Maryland, Ohio, and New Jersey. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Retail and plays a pivotal role in creating visually engaging retail environments that drive customer engagement and sales.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the visual merchandising department, providing leadership and guidance to visual merchandising teams responsible for in-store displays, signage, and visual presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and store operations, to gather and execute visual merchandising concepts that align with brand identity and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising standards and guidelines to ensure consistent brand representation across all retail locations.
  • Lead the design and execution of in-store displays, window displays, and promotional setups to create visually appealing and customer-centric retail environments.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies, gathering feedback from store teams and customers, and making data-driven improvements.
  • Manage relationships with visual merchandising vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring on-time delivery of visual elements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging visual merchandising techniques, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Support new store openings and remodels by overseeing visual merchandising setup and training store teams.
  • Develop and manage the visual merchandising department budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing spending.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Vice President of Retail, providing insights and recommendations on visual merchandising strategies and store layouts.
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all company standards are met and operating procedures are followed, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred):
    • Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Business Administration, Graphic Design or Art & Design preferred.
  • 510 years of relevant experience, including:
    • 3+ years of hands-on visual merchandising experience.
    • 2+ years in a leadership or management position, overseeing teams and regional execution.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel regularly onsite to the retail stores.
