Cisco is Seeking a Communications Specialist in Chicago, Austin, or Raleigh!
Estimated Duration : 6 months Location : Chicago, Austin, or Raleigh (HYBRID) Pay Rate:
$52.60 per hr
The Communications Specialist will develop and implement effective executive communication strategies at Cisco. This role requires capturing the executive's voice to create credible and authentic messaging while translating complex information into engaging content for a diverse global audience. The Communications Specialist will also manage various communication channels and strategies to enhance executive visibility and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement executive communication strategies. Capture the executive's voice to ensure credible and authentic messaging. Distill complex information into compelling content tailored for a global audience. Create and manage executive content, including keynotes, internal and customer presentations, social media posts, SharePoint content, and blogs. Oversee executive speaking engagements, including content development, preparation, and feedback. Develop and execute strategic communications plans. Support internal organizational announcements. Provide editorial oversight and ensure alignment across employee communications. Manage internal communication channels such as newsletters, leadership meetings, and all-hands meetings. Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of communications using feedback, surveys, and key performance indicators. Lead crisis communication planning, engagement, and content development.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in communications strategy and content development.
Experience in an executive communications role at Cisco is highly preferred.
Strong ability to capture and convey an executive’s voice.
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in managing various communication platforms and vehicles.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience working in corporate or technology environments.
Familiarity with global communication strategies and cultural considerations.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Expertise in monitoring and analyzing communications effectiveness.
Cisco Experience: Required. There is a 24 month tenure policy for contractors on a Temporary engagement
