LOCATION: Ridgefield, WA (Hybrid - apx. 1-2 days a week onsite)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Designer to lead and shape the user experience design for our products. This is a new role in the company and you can help shape it from the ground up. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and meaningful experiences for our users. You'll be responsible for driving the design process, from research to prototyping, while ensuring that our designs are user-centered, innovative, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead User Research: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and identify user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Information Architecture: Design and optimize navigation structures, sitemaps, and workflows to ensure a logical and user-friendly experience.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create low and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and interactions clearly to stakeholders and development teams.
  • Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests, analyze feedback, and iterate on designs to ensure a positive and effective user experience.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, UI designers, and other stakeholders to align design efforts with project goals and technical requirements.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level designers, helping them grow their skills and improve their design processes.
  • Maintain Design Consistency: Contribute to and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure a consistent and cohesive experience across all products.
  • Product Strategy: Collaborate with product teams to define design solutions that address both user needs and business objectives, while making data-driven decisions.
  • Design Advocacy: Advocate for the importance of design thinking and user-centered design throughout the organization, presenting findings and design solutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Stay Current: Keep up with the latest UX trends, tools, technologies, and methodologies to ensure our designs are cutting-edge and aligned with industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects.
  • Expertise in user research techniques and a deep understanding of user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.
  • Experience conducting usability testing and synthesizing insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development processes is a plus.
  • A passion for creating delightful, intuitive, and accessible user experiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in designing for mobile, web, and enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic front-end development.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and designing for diverse user groups.
  • Experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g., Axure, Proto.io).

Salary Range: $90K-$115K Depending on experience
