Our Generalist works closely with the CG and Asset Supervisors to coordinate with Modeling, Rigging, Texturing, Hair, Lighting and Production to help ensure that all aspects of the asset creation process come together seamlessly and efficiently.

Salary Range: $78,312 - $95,000

Job Description
Responsibilities: "What would you say you do here?"
- Complete assigned tasks for Character Modeling, Environment Modeling, Rigging, Surfacing, Hair and Lighting departments
- Work with CG Artists to final asset builds before they enter the animation pipeline
- Check all asset files for consistency and adhere to pipeline standards such as: naming conventions, node hierarchies, file directory pathing and overall QC
- Responsible for bringing parallel asset creation files together into final complete assets, apply shader networks to final finals and cleaning final files to ensure they work as efficiently as possible
- Review and note production builds created by our Partner Studio(s) to ensure they align with the technical specifications of the series
- Document workflows and processes using Camtasia video and Publisher software
- Collaborate with the Leads and Artists in other CG disciplines to help establish processes and pipeline integration
Qualifications
Qualifications: "What do I need to have in order to do this job?"
- At least 2 years of professional experience working within a 3D production pipeline
- Understanding of the CG Pipeline
- Knowledge of Maya, V-Ray, XGen, Mari and Photoshop
- Fundamental generalist skills for troubleshooting and identifying problems within files
- Prior experience working in a fast paced production environment
- Ability to meet required production deadlines
- Creative problem solving and adaptability skills
- Excellent communication skills and enjoys a team environment
Desired Characteristics: "What can I offer?"
- Knowledge of Substance Designer and Painter, Marvelous Designer, Shave and a Haircut, SpeedTree and Maya MASH preferred
- Experience with asset management software, Shotgun preferred
- Experience working with international Partner Studio(s) is a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred
