Qualifications

What you will be doing:

As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large or complex events, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards while maximizing profitability. You will work closely with the sales and operations teams, managing client relations to guarantee a positive and seamless experience. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service throughout all stages of event execution
  • Continually increase technical knowledge and expertise
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless event planning and execution
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns
  • Oversee equipment guides, production scheduling, labor schedules, technical diagrams, and profit and loss documentation
  • Ensure timely arrival and quality control of all audiovisual equipment for events
  • Manage client relations, providing reasonable solutions to concerns and liaising with property-level management
  • Mentor team members to enhance technical capabilities and ensure consistent service excellence
  • Utilize company's business software effectively
  • Maintain professional demeanor and uphold company's image
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned


Experience & Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum of 3 years' HANDS-ON experience in the events and audio/visual industry:
  • Audio - microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, etc.
  • Video - cameras, LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, etc.
  • Lighting - GOBO, gels, uplighting, basic lighting kits, stage lighting, etc.
  • Computers - Advanced knowledge on PC and Mac software
  • Strong understanding of audiovisual equipment and event logistics
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required to operate company
    vehicle
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with event and audio/visual setups/strikes, and programming
