Your role
Reporting to the Executive Vice-President, Radio-Canada, you establish the overall direction and objectives for French Services' Audio and Radio division. You play a critical role in developing the programming strategy, which involves meeting audience expectations while upholding the mandate, positioning, credibility and image of Radio-Canada in its commitment to promote Canadian culture and reflect contemporary Canada.

Your responsibilities:
- Establish the overall direction and objectives for the Audio and Radio division in a competitive environment with a focus on creating outstanding content while fostering an engaging work environment aligned with our values and Journalistic Standards and Practices.
- Set objectives and achieve results, ensuring they meet targets set by CBC/Radio-Canada.
- Be responsible and accountable for audience ratings and metrics across audio platforms - ICI PREMIÈRE, ICI MUSIQUE and OHdio. Work closely with the French Services Executive Committee, your leadership team as well as all programming and non-programming staff to deliver outstanding, relevant content and achieve listenership targets.
- Cultivate and build close strategic relationships with Radio-Canada's production partners.
- Represent Radio-Canada at industry events and take part in public relations activities.
- Ensure effective management of human, financial and physical resources.
- Support the development and implementation of initiatives and programs to promote diversity hiring and community building.
What you bring?
- University degree in a relevant field (communications, administration, etc.).
- At least 10 years' experience in a strategic leadership role.
- Significant experience in content development, project management and negotiation.
- Team management experience in a unionized environment.
- Solid strategic planning, execution and performance-tracking skills.
- Excellent positive, collaborative and engaging leadership skills.
- Outstanding influencing, innovation and creative-thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an ever-changing, ambiguous matrix environment.
- Superior skills and passion for interpersonal relationships and effective communication with employees, colleagues and industry members.
- Knowledge of media trends and changes in media consumption, technology and competition in the industry.
- Knowledge of media regulatory and governance structures, including rights management.
- Solid command of spoken and written French.
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Availability and flexibility.
