Job Title: School-Based Teacher for the Visually Impaired Location: Shrewsbury, Massachusetts pany: Soliant Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our team This is an exciting opportunity to work within a school environment, providing support and specialized education for students with visual impairments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, with a focus on Visual Impairments, or a related field. Valid Massachusetts state certification in teaching students with visual impairments (TVI certification preferred). Strong knowledge of braille, assistive technology, and other tools for visually impaired students. Job Details: Full time or part time hours On site required MA state certification Caseload details will be disclosed on interview Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments. Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, using specialized techniques and tools to enhance learning. Assist students in using assistive technology, braille, and other adaptive equipment. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure a prehensive and inclusive educational experience. Monitor and assess students' progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies as needed. Support students social and emotional development by fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture. Provide training to staff and parents on strategies and tools for supporting students with visual impairments. Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
