The Navy-Marine Corps Business Area is seeking a skilled Radio Frequency Subject Matter Expert to provide integral support for the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) C5ISR Systems. Our mission is to enhance engineering, testing, evaluation, and experimentation on C5ISR and combat vehicle systems, ultimately informing key acquisition decisions to boost the capabilities of the Fleet Marine Force (FMF).
As the Radio Frequency SME, you will develop in-depth expertise to assist Marine Corps Program Managers and the FMF with all testing, engineering, and experimentation of systems. This role will report directly to the RF Engineer.

THE CHALLENGE (Primary Responsibilities)
Plan, design, and manage Adaptive Networking Wideband Waveform (ANW2), Wideband High Frequency (HF), and Mobile User Objective Systems (MUOS), potentially handling up to 30 radio nets monthly.
Manage Ground Radios planning software: Communications Planning Application (CPA), Radio Programming Application (RPA), and Joint Enterprise Network Manager (JENM), with an expectation of approximately 2 operations per month.
Troubleshoot radio communications across various topologies during test and engineering events.
Operate Tactical Data Links to establish voice and data communications.
Utilize Aeroflex spectrum analyzers for RF measurements.
Conduct network throughput performance tests using IPerf and T-BERD test tools monthly.
Perform radio frequency and antenna propagation measurements regularly.
Install tactical antennas and mast constructions to support various test and engineering events.
Create mission plans for various DoD waveforms, including SINCGARS, ANW2, HF, and others.
Execute Simple Key Loader (SKL) and Tactical Key Loader (TKL) functions as required.
Operate Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) and commercial GPS devices.
Lift and move radio equipment (approximately 40 lbs.) as necessary.
Conduct physical configuration of SATCOM systems based on existing network architectures.
Update SATCOM terminal software and hardware following USMC modification instructions.
Maintain accountability for SATCOM equipment subcomponents and conduct quarterly inventories.
Manage SATCOM equipment maintenance and track status of repairs or replacements.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all SATCOM equipment according to established guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
Experience designing and constructing field expedient antennas.
Familiarity with COMSEC and crypto-fill devices.
Knowledge of operational protocols for tactical radios such as PRC-117F/G.
Experience with Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) or Position Navigation and Timing simulators.
A minimum of two years' experience in the installation, maintenance, or training of RF systems/equipment.
Proficiency in using RF tools and equipment, such as Spectrum Analyzers and Oscilloscopes.

USMC MOS Background (0621/27/29/91, 2841/31/62/91).
