Monday - Friday, Day shift This individual works both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop creative interior space solutions to meet customer needs. They provide our internal CEM team the tools, documents & resources necessary to successfully gather & present project design concepts & quotes. This includes space planning, furniture and material selections, product specification, installation documentation, on-site field verification & electrical coordination, and quality assurance, always maintaining two values & brand. Serves as leader, mentor, and pace setter for their teams and colleagues. Often serving as key/primary client liaison, sharing in the management & communication responsibilities required to ensure a successful client experience. Responsibilities: Two is an agile team with a variety of cross-over roles & responsibilities dependent on specific project requirements. The Designer's primary responsibilities include: Design Development

Primary focus: Systems furniture, including open office, private office, and meeting/conference spaces. Generate, organize, and maintain CAD & CET drawing files. Produce furniture block plans, space plans, finish pallets CET drawings, CET renderings and installation drawings & documents. Develop systems furniture related validation packages. Support CEM’s team with engagement of customer to gather and distill project information, often playing the lead role in the discussion. Independently manage design deliverables of multiple large and/or complicated clients/projects at any given time. Specification/Quotation

Complete accurate specification worksheets in CET. Independently resolve new and/or complicated specification needs, anticipating and avoiding potential challenges, ensuring installation success. Implementation

Perform field surveys and product inventories. On-site coordination of furniture related construction requirements, including critical clearances and electrical/data needs. Quality Assurance

Complete design proposals if project requires. Complete budgetary estimates of design hours. Monitor, manage & communicate actual hours worked to CEM team. Perform preliminary self-audits. Perform peer-audits of other designers’ work. Development/Lead

Serve as mentor to junior team members, both departmentally & divisionally. Act as internal resource for issue resolution and code compliance. Assist with development and maintenance of departmental & divisional processes & standards. Qualifications: Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Interior or Architectural Design, Associate Art’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college will be considered, with at least 5 years related design experience. Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) or National Architecture Board (NAB) accreditation preferred. One or more professional certifications desired (NCIDQ, CID, LEED AP, WELL AP, EDAC, 6 Sigma, PMI, etc.). Prior experience with system furniture products required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requires the ability to be optimistic, collaborative, enthusiastic and think creatively. Must believe in the ability of physical space to have a positive impact on the lives of others. Mastery for Interior Design principles, including the use of texture, color, form, function, materiality balance, rhythm, repetition, proximity, symmetry, biophilia, cognition and perception. Mastery of commercial furniture & furniture systems products. Understanding of, and competence in specifying, ancillary furnishings and décor. Ability to apply design practices as well as knowledge of building codes, regulations & ADA requirements. Proficiency in a variety of software: AutoCAD, CET Designer and Microsoft Office. Additionally, Sketchup, 3dMax, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and similar are a plus. Ability to provide friendly, professional service to internal staff and clients. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong time management skills, ability to support multiple projects & teams while maintaining project schedules & deliverables. Ability to convey design concepts via hand drawing/sketch. Competent complex reading and writing skills. Physical Requirements It is necessary to perceive and communicate clearly and in a competent manner design concept, intent & instructions. Must be able to competently review, analyze and comprehend complex project details, and possess exceptional communication, creative & decision-making skills. Working Environment Regularly works both in and out of the office with others, face to face, over the phone and through email. In-office work is primarily in an open office environment with moderate noise. The nature of work requires occasional time spent out of the office at project sites and client offices; reliable transportation required. On-site project work may present dusty/dirty conditions with loud noise, moving objects and other hazards. Project site PPE & safety requirements shall be followed at all times.
