Take charge of the design, deployment, and optimization of mission-critical communication systems. Provide strategic guidance to the team, while driving system improvements across a global footprint. Lead the design, deployment, and management of Unified Communications systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, and Telepresence Management Server. Act as a senior escalation point, resolving complex UC issues such as voice and video challenges and call routing conflicts. Oversee the management of UC endpoints, including Cisco VoIP phones and video conferencing systems. Plan and execute large-scale system upgrades, migrations, and hardware refreshes. Develop and enforce UC security policies to ensure compliance with DoD standards. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering skill development and technical excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and third-party vendors, to ensure seamless UC operations. Maintain and update operational documentation, including system architecture diagrams and technical guides. Deliver regular performance and activity reports to senior leadership, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree and 11-12 years of relevant experience (Additional experience/certifications will be considered in lieu of degree). Current Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II / III certification (Advanced Cisco certifications, such as CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration). Proven success in managing enterprise-grade Cisco UC systems at scale, preferably in a DoD environment. Expertise in CUCM (v11.5+), Cisco VTC codecs, VoIP endpoints, and Telepresence Management Server. Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP) and Quality of Service (QoS) principles. Familiarity with integrating UC systems with third-party tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams). Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and troubleshooting abilities. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,600.00/Yr. - USD $232,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
