work across crisis and rapid response, publicity, promotion and media relations . This fast-paced communications expert will work collaboratively within the CNN Worldwide communications teams to support the strategic publicity efforts around programming and news out of the

Washington, DC bureau . The role requires strategic thinking, high organizational talent and strong public relations skills. The position provides an opportunity to

work with the best journalists in the business and play an integral role in the future of CNN . This role will

work with talent and programming

inside CNN’s global portfolio, building and managing their brands and journalistic output. They will also support the team in

rapid response media relations , collaborating with the CNN Worldwide Communications department. Your Role Accountabilities… Manage strategic publicity efforts for

CNN's political talent and programming , including

drafting and distributing pitches

around editorial reporting across platforms.

Engage in crisis and strategic response , including direct outreach to members of the press, serving as a key press contact.

Research and

pitch creative placements, interviews, stories, and speaking opportunities for CNN journalists.

Collaborate with members of the communications team to ensure cohesive strategic messaging and approach to all work is consistent.

Regularly

track media coverage and analyze

media coverage.

Manage complex and unexpected communications challenges with professionalism.

Your Qualifications & Experience… The ideal candidate will have

at least 10 years of experience

in political or crisis communications, preferably in politics or from a media or technology organization.

Experience building and managing promotion and publicity around

high profile talent and VIPs.

Extensive experience in

rapid response and crisis communications

in the digital age.

Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to context and detail that effectively communicate a message.

Must have

leadership presence and the ability to advise talent and executives.

Seasoned, strategic, hands-on, consultative, and collaborative approach.

Ability to

prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Strong presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $195,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
