Description
The M·A·C National Artist is a versatile professional with strong artistry skills, capable of assessing, coaching, and developing U.S. Artists. They drive the development of Retail Artists, Trainers, and Pro Teams to meet M·A·C’s standards, lead National Events, and partner with Global & NOAM Comms & Artist Relations for workshops and PR opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Develop Artistry, and Skill Acceleration in the Field (50%)
Develop and coach Artistry skills of Retail Artists in-store.
Partner with RETs to implement post-training follow up strategies to ensure maximum skills retention.
Lead Fundamental Skills Certification for M·A·C Retail Artists, FEs & SMPs to ensure all qualified Artists are paired with available certifiers.
Serve as Key Artist to train & certify Advanced 1 skills for Retail Artists, FEs and SMPs.
Host off-site Advanced 2 and Fashion Show Skills Certifications.
Partner with Education Leads to host Advanced workshops (Boost/Boss Camps) for regional and POS Artists.
Support North America Education and Artistry Department to develop programming, share feedback and measure the continual improvement of our POS & Training population at regional level through mentoring, skills certification, Artistry training and eventing.
Serve as Lead Artist for Retail & Pro Events (25%)
Conduct consumer-facing Masterclasses and PA style events in M·A·C FSS and Retail Partners.
As a key stakeholder in Retail Events, National Artists must partner with Field & Retail teams to monitor bookings, event themes and KPIs to ensure success.
Host Live-Selling on RP IG Lives and M·A·C owned social channels (i.e. IG Live & TikTok Shop).
Host/Cohost Pro-to-Pro Events & Masterclasses with industry Artists/Influencers to drive Brand Advocacy and Pro Memberships.
Partner with Artist Relations on outreach to Makeup Academies & Local Unions to support professional ongoing education while continuing to build the M·A·C Artist Community.
Serve as a top-tier Makeup Artist and Brand Ambassador, driving on-trend makeup execution and storytelling for a diverse audience.
Support Marketing and Communications with "on-demand" makeup appointments.
Deliver exceptional artistry at events and maintain a booking tool.
Create compelling content for social media, assist on campaigns, and adapt to trends.
Provide recaps and collaborate with teams for successful consumer communication and sales.
Financial Accountabilities
Ensure the timely submission and accuracy of credit card statements, expense reports.
Review and track expenditures in accordance with departmental/regional budgets.
Maintain and ensure security of Senior Artist training equipment and devices
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Skills: Exceptional makeup application, coaching, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, customer service, public speaking, and training.
Experience: Minimum 4 years in makeup, M·A·C Training a plus, college degree required.
Analytical: Quick adaptation to partner/client needs, proficient in administrative tasks (Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, editorial, photo/video creation, editing, lighting).
Communication: Strong collaboration with project leads, media, and event organizers, excellent written and verbal skills.
Creativity: High skill in developing makeup demonstrations, content, and presentations.
Technology: Adopter of new technology and image/video editing applications.
Working Conditions: Vary by assignment, flexible schedule, frequent travel, ability to handle items up to 40lbs.
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is
$68,850.00
to
$93,250.00
.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
