Save Job

As senior designer, your responsibilities will include the creation of brand-compliant, cost-effective and high-quality creative material based on briefs/requests from stakeholders, to meet business goals. You might have corporate experience in the B2B space; in fact, we hope you do. You definitely have agency or design consultancy experience. You also know how to mentor an art team, collaborate with copywriters, present your work to key internal stakeholders and [seemingly effortlessly] juggle all four on any given day. You love to design, ideate and truly love what you do. You are excited to bring our UL Solutions story to life in a collaborative design environment, across traditional and digital spaces. Key Responsibilities:

Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics, environmental design and corporate presentations based on UL Solutions visual brand guidelines. Generate ideas to portray concepts and market products/services. Amend designs after feedback from design and project managers or stakeholders. Maintain brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects. Be able to distinguish strong ideation and conceptualization (art direction) vs. design execution. Assess tasks/projects from the initial brief and come up with ideas and solutions. Responsible for not only the “look” but also for developing the concept. Understand, solve and deliver work answering the creative brief. Establish a visual tone that will effectively communicate with the target audience and fulfill the project objectives. Deliver work aligned with best practices in social, video, digital and print environmental space. Push boundaries of design innovation within the digital space. Develop static storyboards for videos as a model for client approval, then work with the team to ensure the final product is true to the original concept and presentation. Consistently and independently acquire subject matter expertise through advanced training. Review junior designers’ work and coach to ensure high-quality deliverables. Liaise with marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met. Participate in brainstorming sessions. Understand and accept the need to amend, revise or redevelop campaigns in response to feedback from the creative strategist, leads and other stakeholders. Meet client objectives, values, budgets and deadlines. Represent, when required, Senior Creative management at team meetings as well as with clients. Build presentation decks from start to finish with a solid rationale explaining concepts and executions. Collaborate with copywriters. Think about new templates and processes that reduce the cost of service. Refine images, fonts and layouts using graphic design software. Expertly apply typography techniques. Stay current with industry developments and tools that integrate AI in design (Adobe Express, etc.). Multi-task – you'll be working on more than one campaign at once. Minimum Requirements:

At least five years of related experience or demonstrated competency. Highly proficient in video storyboarding and environmental design. Highly proficient in Adobe Suite. Highly proficient in print/production. A keen eye for aesthetics and details. Ability to give/take direction. A solid understanding of the differences between strong design and conceptual art direction. Talent to inspire team members with great visual design. Desire to take on new challenges, grow and learn every day. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team. Ability to give and receive design feedback. Interact, communicate and present ideas in a business-oriented way. Ability to take on projects from start to finish and can relate all information to others involved on the job with minimal supervision. Total Rewards:
