Our client is seeking a UI Designer for an initial two year contract in Albany. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing user interfaces that are not only visually
appealing but also intuitive and user-friendly, . The UI Designer will provide strategic and functional advice and guidance to the project director,
implementation leads, Digital Transformation Project (DTP) teams and division directors on
business/functional-related matters, ensuring that business strategies align with the overall
project goals.
Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product managers, user experience (UX) designers, developers, and
educational stakeholders to create and implement design solutions. • Design user interfaces for student systems that align with brand guidelines and provide
an optimal user experience. • Develop wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate
design ideas effectively. • Incorporate user research findings and feedback into UI designs in collaboration with UX
designers. • Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate based on user
feedback. • Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and adhere to best practices and accessibility
standards. • Participate in design reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
Required Experience: • UI design experience in education, government, and corporate projects, with a focus on
application development (preferred). • Experience providing strategic advice and guidance to senior management on
business/functional matters. • Expertise in evaluating and improving business processes and systems for enhanced
efficiency and effectiveness. • Proficiency in utilizing data analytics to drive business insights and identify opportunities
for digital enhancement.
