Position Information

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE SECTION VEHICLE DISPATCHER/SERVICE WRITER (SR-12)

Summary of Duties: This position is under the direct supervision of the Vehicle Dispatching Supervisor.

Example of Duties:

Inspects vehicles before and after each watch change. Distributes vehicles during watch change Assists supervisors with up keeping records of all City owned police vehicles, noting their conditions Minimum Qualification Requirements

Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and four years of clerical experience, including or supplemented by two years of experience which shall have demonstrated knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair operations.

License Requirement: State of Hawaii Driver's License, Type 3

Knowledge of: General automotive repair and maintenance terminology and procedures; fleet operations and practices; recordkeeping methods and practices; filing systems; office practices and procedures; report writing. Additional Information
