Job DescriptionThe salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000 USD annual.
We are looking for a Creative Director with a Writer's background to join our team as a conceptual creative. You will brainstorm campaign ideas and run a creatively-led account, creating big, bold, inspiring work that cuts through the clutter and sets hearts and feeds on fire. You love entertainment (film/TV) and social culture.
You're conceptually minded and social-first in your approach coming from a background of creating organic social and campaign content that achieved high engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client-attended team brainstorms of 10+ and give direction off the cuff for both active and reactive long-term social media campaigns and smaller, faster concepts/social posts.
- Create top-level campaign ideas and writing social posts that cut through the clutter of the social sphere.
- Ideate and lead the development of work that creates fame for our clients.
- Build a solid relationship with and influence with clients as a valued voice, leading conversations with clients around strategic creative work.
- Take a brief and spin insightful ideas from it each day, bringing your own creative insights.
- Brainstorm and spar with clients, holding your own in the best interest of the work and the goals of the brief.
- Listen to and understand client needs and rea between the lines to stay on top of client needs.
- Produce creative ideas on the spot with a clear vision and point of view that you explain with conviction.
- In meetings, with or without clients, you're able to impress with your 'on the spot' responses and possible solutions.
- Differentiate between a big campaign idea and a tactical projects to deliver accurate work.
- Keep an eye on growing current live accounts by identifying provocative or purposeful opportunities.
- You will set a high benchmark within the team for success when it comes to ideas, storytelling, copy, craft and cultural relevance.
- Nurture and upskill creatives during reviews of the work to add new ideas ad thoughtfulness to their storytelling.
- Create close relationships and working collaboratively with other teams across the Creative journey, including Content, Design, Production, Creative Strategy, Brand Strategy, Project Management and Client Services
- Review work with your Creative VP and keeping them informed along the journey - taking their feedback onboard and actioning their direction (aligning across the team).
- Experience running organic social for a title or entertainment brand and led a newsroom-style way of doing real-time organic content.
- You're a fast idea generator with a history of ideating award-winning campaign ideas for the world's best brands from your own work - plus awards with teams you've led.
- Extremely immersed in and passionate about the entertainment space, specifically shows and films.
- Production experience is needed, specifically, being well versed in the world of shoots and having an understanding of production and post production to guide a DP, editor, VFX, VO record, colorist, etc.
- BA in communications, journalism, content marketing, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years experience in content creation at an agency, publication, or brand
- At least 5 years experience in content strategy and 3 years management experience
- Experience in the entertainment, film or streaming markets
- Experience working with talent and covering live events
- Project management skills to ensure existing projects run smoothly and new opportunities are scoped and completed
- Experience delivering presentations and sharing new ideas with clients
- Social platform expertise needed: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more
- Experience using Apple products (Keynote, etc.) and other basic marketing tools
- Experience using Sprinklr or similar social media publishing platforms
- Comfortable with Business Affairs and vetting content against brand best practice
