Position Summary: Join a talented team of engineering professionals at Vogt Power International Inc. Vogt is based in Louisville, KY and specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment and solutions to the power generation industry. We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers.
The Expeditor, reporting to the Manager of Procurement, is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of purchased materials, equipment, services, and engineering deliverables for assigned tasks. This role involves tracking Purchase Orders and managing supplier relationships to meet schedule requirements. The Expeditor will evaluate supplier performance and assist with annual supplier evaluations. Additionally, this role provides administrative support to the Supply Management Department, contributing to the achievement of the department's strategic objectives. Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage supplier schedules and progress reporting of material procurement, fabrication, assembly and test, shipping preparation and shipment. • Manage and monitor supplier document submittals, both initial and return submittals, of drawings, processes, procedures and other required documentation. • Anticipation and risk mitigation of issues that will impede supplier performance and purchase order requirements. • Resolve Supplier issues that may impact the overall objective of delivering all goods and services per the schedule requirements • Track and report on all open Purchase Orders utilizing PO Status Trackers • Communicate supplier status to Project Managers and Core Project Team for all assigned VPI Project tasks. • Communicate with responsible Buyer/SCM/Procurement Specialist regarding late contractually required deliveries in order to pursue back-charges or liquidated damages, if applicable, with supplier. • Process project document expediting reports in DCAP. • Participate in supplier evaluations and annual performance reviews. • Participate in supplier development and certification via CSL and SharePoint. • Assist Logistics team members as needed for eBOM shipping releases. • Run Supply Management PowerBI reports as requested. • Support the Supply Management department with other activities/projects as assigned.

Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, preferred. 2-5 years of engineered equipment purchasing experience preferred. Computer skills in the use of EXCEL, WORD and other packaged software. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to plan and organize work, establish priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
