JOB TITLE: Community Manager

SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $70,000 per year

OPENING DATE: February 10, 2025

WORK HOURS: Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

Job Summary

The Community Manager will engage with residents, visitors, and local businesses to foster a vibrant and welcoming tourism environment. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a passion for community-building.

Responsibilities

1. Organize and promote local events and initiatives
2. Act as the primary point of contact for tourism-related inquiries
3. Build relationships with local businesses and tourism organizations
4. Develop strategies to enhance visitor engagement
5. Manage and moderate online community forums and discussions

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
2. 2+ years of experience in community engagement or event management
3. Strong networking and relationship-building skills
4. Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
5. Passion for Morgantown and its tourism industry
