Who We Are: The Research Communications team supports the university’s research mission through clear, professional, and consistent communication. We design and produce materials that showcase research initiatives.

What We Do: We manage creative projects across multiple platforms, including:

  1. Graphic design – Creating print, digital, and multimedia materials.
  2. Branding and creative identity – Ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  3. Event and presentation materials – Designing layouts, signage, and graphics for research events.
  4. Multimedia and web content – Managing visual content for division websites and communications.
  5. Collaboration and consultation – Working with university units and vendors to produce high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and execute design projects that enhance the university’s research communications.
  2. Manage projects, timelines, and budgets to meet deadlines.
  3. Work with stakeholders to translate communication goals into clear visual content.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Five years professional experience in graphic design, marketing, or art/creative direction.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Project management from conception to delivery in a timely manner and on budget.
  2. Experience in brand implementation and maintenance.
  3. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  4. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in graphic design.
  2. Experience managing brand identity and creative strategy.
