We are seeking an experienced, creative, forward-thinking environmental graphic designer to lead our environmental graphic design team and develop concepts and manage projects that align with our client’s goals. Design Workshop Inc. is 100% employee-owned and as an internationally recognized firm we are focused on landscape architecture, urban design, community and regional planning, market analysis and strategic services. This position is available in any of our seven studio locations: Aspen, Austin, Denver, Lake Tahoe, Los Angeles, Houston and Raleigh.

You will:

  • Serve in a firm-wide leadership capacity pursuing and implementing legacy work through exceptional design, project documentation, planning, business development, and/or project management.
  • Create visual strategies for wayfinding and signage to a variety of public and private clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure design solutions are seamlessly integrated.
  • Oversee design execution and project management ensuring designs of excellent quality.
  • Present concepts to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining design excellence.
  • Stay current with design trends, materials, and new technologies in the environmental graphic design field.
  • Facilitate design-related discussions, resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance project and client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years working as an environmental graphic designer and project manager
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of typography, application of three-dimensional design and the ability to meet deadlines while managing many shifting priorities
  • Construction documentation experience

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 and a final offer to join the firm is based on our review and understanding of your demonstrated professional skills and experience. We are 100% employee owned; employees become participant owners in an ESOP Trust. This is designed as a long-term wealth-building benefit, with the employees’ accounts increasing as the value of the business increases. Accounts are funded entirely by company contributions. Similarly, we expect that as you contribute to growing the firm that you will continue to grow your compensation by qualifying for annual pay-for-performance merit increases, discretionary bonus payouts based on the firm's profitability and professional advancement awards.
