POSITION TITLE: Asst Designer – Aerie Graphics

REPORTS TO: Designer

POSITION SUMMARY: Support the Aerie Graphics team on all aspects of the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  1. Research and create new trends in graphic design and production techniques.
  2. Work closely with senior design members to design graphics based on design direction given.
  3. Prepare and own the creation of presentation boards for monthly meetings.
  4. Observe presentation techniques and be prepared to make preliminary presentations.
  5. Draw and illustrate main body of graphics for all products.
  6. Provide direction for designers with graphic scale, concept and placement.
  7. Organize all graphics by season and concept.
  8. Own the development of licensing ideas for each season across all categories.
  9. Comment on graphic submits with supervisor approval.
  10. Communicate with legal department on approval for all graphics; maintain approval linesheet.
  11. Partner with licensing team to understand specific logo and trademark requirements for all 3rd party brands.
  12. Perform other duties as required.
  13. Able to work in a hybrid environment, meaning that some work may be performed remotely but certain essential functions must be performed in-person/in-office based on the needs of the business.
  14. In person/in-office collaboration is required. In-office collaboration is expected 3 days a week and is further dictated by business needs.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration or a related field of study.
  2. 1-3 years of related Graphic Design experience.
  3. Proficient in graphic designing software in a MAC environment.
  4. Strong drawing skills.
  5. Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  6. Ability to work well on a team and act as liaison between many departments.
  7. Attention to detail when designing and working with licensing partners.
  8. Excellent communication and analytic skills.

Pay/Benefits Information

  1. Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
  2.
