Salary: 70K to 75K DOE
Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Motion Designer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of motion graphics and animation, with a strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of artistic vision, professional experience, and a collaborative spirit to enhance our projects with high-quality animations and visual effects.
Responsibilities
- Design and create enticing motion graphics for video deliverables (corporate videos, eLearning, websites, social media, etc.)
- Work with display software to deliver assets to different digital touchpoints and devices throughout the museum.
- Work with creative teams to understand project scope and objectives.
- Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design.
- Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
- Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the latest graphic design techniques.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines, and design standards.
- Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
- As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.

Knowledge
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Film, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in motion design and animation.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other visual effects software.
- Demonstrable motion design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable style.
- Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design.
- Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution.
- Manage time effectively, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is key.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 20 lbs. as required.
