Tennis Channel is seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Vice President of Marketing to lead transformative growth strategies and expand the network’s global reach. Reporting to the President, this high-impact leader will guide a talented marketing team, directly overseeing four Vice Presidents and their respective teams, to drive engagement and elevate brand visibility. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, innovative marketing expert with a track record of developing, executing, and leading successful cross-platform campaigns that create new revenue opportunities and maximize audience engagement across digital, social, and traditional channels. The Senior Vice President of Marketing will focus on enhancing brand awareness and strategically driving growth through data insights, creative content, and audience-driven initiatives. This visionary marketer will drive targeted and strategic campaigns to increase the Tennis Channel’s viewership.

The location for this position, Santa Monica, California, is a vibrant coastal city nestled along the picturesque shores of the Pacific Ocean.

In this role, you will:

  1. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the marketing team, crafting high-impact campaigns that boost brand awareness, engagement, and revenue across all platforms. Shaping Tennis Channel’s marketing strategies, optimizing campaigns, and maximizing the impact of the brand in the highly competitive live sports entertainment space while navigating the Linear, DTC environment.
  2. Oversee all creative output for live sports marketing, media strategy, brand, events and more.
  3. Foster teamwork and collaboration amongst an expert team of four (4) VP direct reports and across the organization.
  4. Cultivate a collaborative environment among marketing and other departments including DTC, Digital, Production, Programming, and International, to enhance ratings, boost DTC subscriptions, increase app downloads, and drive social media engagement.
  5. Set the strategic direction for the network marketing and social teams to meet DTC acquisition goals, brand awareness, and linear ratings.
  6. Own, manage, and track the networks marketing budget.
  7. Leverage data analytics, user insights, and fan behavior from the Research department and other sources to help guide and inform strategies, messaging, prioritization, optimization and subscription offerings.
  8. Collaborate with Programming and Social teams to align marketing initiatives.
  9. Develop, organize, and track delivery of creative assets for multiple platforms, DTC, Social, linear, web, etc.
  10. Establish and foster trusted relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  2. 15+ years of linear and digital experience in sports media and entertainment or digital company with experience leading brand and customer acquisition
  3. Experience and confidence in working with data scientists to inform paid marketing strategies
  4. Detail oriented strategic thinker who can prioritize and execute a plan within a fast-paced environment under demanding ever changing deadlines
  5. Deep understanding of creative and production processes in both traditional and non-traditional media
  6. Stellar interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills both written and oral
  7. Comprehensive knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry, including emerging trends: ideally a sports fan with a passion for tennis and familiarity with Pickleball
  8. Proactive and persuasive, with excellent negotiating and relationship building skills
  9. Knowledge and an interest in the evolving live sports landscape and its impact on culture.
