Microsoft Word 2013 and later
Microsoft Excel 2013 and later
Must have an excellent understanding of AutoCAD 2014 onwards software (2D & 3D, paper space/model space, dynamic blocks, xrefs, layering, plot styles, AutoLISP, etc.).
Must have the ability to use and customize ISOGEN to conform with customer standards.
Using CADWorx 2014+, must have the knowledge and ability to create catalogs, projects, pipe specifications, and custom shapes.
Be able to diagnose and correct computer and CAD problems/issues.
Able to operate a 3D scanner and create models from it.
Other Job Requirements:
MUST have the knowledge of what is required to design and draft a piping project from start to finish. Be a self-starter, manage your time well, and be able to work with little to no direction.
Have a good working knowledge of upstream (well sites), midstream (pipelines), and downstream (refineries) oil and natural gas operations.
Ability and knowledge to set up, maintain, and document company drafting and design standards. Also, be able to understand and apply the customer's drafting/design standards to drawings and models as required.
Make Site Plans, Equipment Plans, Piping Plans and Elevations, Piping Isometric Drawings, P&ID’s, and 3D Models.
Must be Willing to:
Make frequent trips to the field to gather information on existing sites.
Perform light lifting (less than 50 lbs.), climb ladders, steep stairways, and work on elevated platforms (no fear of heights) is definitely required.
Meet with and work directly with customers.
Work with project managers and engineers.
Mentor and direct less experienced drafters and designers.
