POSITION SUMMARY:

The 'Director, Partnership Strategy & Creative Solutions' is responsible for directing the strategy and development of partner-related business objectives. Key focus towards partner activities impacting both the Development and Partnership Marketing groups. This individual will lead organizational efforts to increase partner integration with a focus on creative solutions and ideation of platforms to drive partner solutions and organizational revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership-level revenue-strategy with a hands approach bringing it to life.
  • Owner of the Partnerships value proposition story and how it relates to our partners and prospective partners.
  • Develop consistent story-telling briefs and deliverables to help guide concept and creative development for platforms and jewel assets, serving as a resource for internal Partnership Marketing and Development teams.
  • Lead forward-looking cross-functional collaboration with marketing, PR, community relations, retail, consumer insights, digital and social teams to develop comprehensive solutions and platforms for clients and prospective clients.
  • Conduct brand research and analyze data insights to provide context to current and new partnership platforms.
  • Provide operational oversight of all monetizable partnership products. Management of rate card, measurement, execution, internal negotiation/vetting, and optimization.
  • Regularly network with NBA, AHL, agencies and digital media companies for the purposes of relationship, marketplace insights and revenue opportunities.
  • For all current special partner projects (TBD), drive the conceptualization and execution of specific innovative solutions that require cross functional work groups.
  • For specific prospect partners (TBD), drive from ideation to execution specific innovative solutions that require cross functional work groups. Facilitate ideation sessions & implement design thinking principles to arrive at monetizable disruptive/transformative ideas.
  • Routinely cultivate and share best practices that have a tangential relationship with sports and entertainment. Leverage those best practices in manner that drives external recognition and internal inspiration.
  • Operate as an internal agency for the overall Corporate Partnerships team, assessing all data shared for a given project and develop a proposed creative solution for each opportunity.
  • Responsible for updating documents for department use including 'Project Status Tracker',Team internal reference documents, etc.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to report on and discuss ongoing owned projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Sales or a related field.
  • 7+ years of partnership sales or solutions experience within an entertainment organization, marketing agency, professional sports team or league, media, or translatable experience.
  • Must have availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and occasional Holidays as required by event schedule.
  • A track record of creativity, solutions, driving partnership growth and meeting set goals.
  • Known throughout the industry for professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
  • Direct management experience preferred.
