You are a seasoned professional who has worked 5 to 8 years career in television or technology. You understand the infrastructure required to support live production. You are fluent in different video transmission methods from Satellite, fiber, and over-the-internet protocols. You're constantly looking at how productions are made today and looking for ways to improve them going forward. You are constantly looking to improve production workflows, this could be migrating to IP video or learning about a new tool that isn't typically used. This includes new technologies that have not been used in broadcasts before.

Responsibilities
- Project Manager of Broadcast Transformation will provide technical leadership and guidance across all broadcast-related technology platforms and departments, as well as project planning and budgeting, overseeing equipment purchases, installation planning, and documentation efforts
- Conceive and manage Engineering department capital projects, including systems design, equipment selection, purchasing, installation, and implementation
- Prioritize technical projects and system upgrades according to Engineering resources and considerations in impact on systems integrity and availability
- Develop new systems, processes, and procedures as necessary to ensure project focus
- Recommend, evaluate and monitor current and future broadcast technologies to accommodate for transitions in hardware and software solutions
- Advanced working knowledge of industry-standard post-production video and audio file formats
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud-based services, architectures, workflows, and applications for post-production editing
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of complex media systems and workflows encompassing file ingest, transcoding, and delivery
- Strong working knowledge of Digital Asset Management systems integration and support
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux workstations and servers
What you'll bring
- 5-8 years experience in leading end-to-end delivery of cloud-based workflows, Broadcast IP transformation, and broadcast engineering.
- Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards and NDI protocols.
- Working knowledge of solutions from leading broadcast technology vendors, including:

- Deep understanding of video file formats, audio file formats, multicasting, and final delivery mechanisms.

Preferred Experience
- Experience at a large consulting firm or System Integrator (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, EY, CapGemini, PWC)
- Experience in various operational workflows (Live Production, Studio Production, News, Playout, Distribution, OTT, VOD)
- Understanding of Next Gen ATSC 3.0 transmission standard
- Understanding Broadcasters, TV Networks, and Video Services Providers ecosystems (Rights, Planning, Resource Management, Monetization)
- Exposure to major Broadcast Associations (IABM, NAB, SMPTE, SVG, SBE)
