The Position: The Foundation Marketing & Communications Manager is a classified supervisory position reporting to the Foundation Executive Director. The incumbent works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Colleges, and District leadership to advance the organizations image and visibility, increase donor engagement, and further the Foundations fundraising trajectory. The Foundation Marketing & Communications Manager position will develop a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy with the Foundation Executive Director and implement an annual plan that supports and advances the Foundations mission and vision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design strategic, market-segmented, and multi-platform annual communications and marketing plans.
Develop all facets of the Foundation brand and ensure consistent execution across all communications, collateral, tool kits, programs, and events.
Develop targeted communications, campaigns, and events to engage stakeholders.
Implement a comprehensive media relations plan to expand awareness of the Foundation.
Design and manage social media platforms and create a content strategy.
Produce all organizational communication materials, including e-newsletters and annual reports.
Redesign, build, and maintain website content.
Develop reports on stakeholder engagement to support planning.
Track and measure engagement across all channels.
Remain informed about the Foundations market position and monitor competing institutions.
Plan and coordinate periodic surveys regarding the Foundations reputation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, or a closely related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of successful work experience in an organizational communications/marketing setting.
Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
Physical Requirements: Typical on-site office environment; in-person work expected.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of effective strategies in market-segmented communications.
Exceptional detailed- and results-oriented written communication skills.
Proven ability to interpret and translate business strategies into effective marketing campaigns.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
