We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Senior Technical Writer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation that meets the needs of our users, including API docs, manuals, guides, and online help. You will work closely with engineers, developers, and product managers to gather information and translate it into clear and concise content that enhances the user experience. If you are technically proficient, organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain technical documents, including user manuals, product guides, and API documentation, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and user-friendly. Work closely with subject matter experts, such as engineers and product managers, to gather and interpret complex technical information. Organize and present information in a logical and coherent manner, making it accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. Review and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy, adhering to company style guides and standards. Focus on creating content that meets the needs of end-users, making technical information easy to understand and use. Utilize various documentation tools and platforms to create, manage, and publish content. Help to define content management strategy for the company. Qualifications: Proven experience as a technical writer or in a similar role. Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them in simple terms. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers. 3+ years of experience in technical writing or a related field. A degree in technical communication, English, computer science, or a related field is preferred. Preferred skills: Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems. Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role will consider applicants out of San Francisco, CA.
