Description

The marketing team at Preqin is fast-paced and collaborative. We balance creative problem solving with data-driven insights to drive measurable results for Sales. We're seeking an events and partnership leader with extensive strategic and tactical experience with both virtual and in-person events, that can develop an events strategy and lead a team in the planning and execution of events and conference partnership programs.

You will represent and own the events strategy, creating a vision for your team, establish meaningful and effective KPI's, develop a clear plan and budget, and be accountable for event execution and results.

What you'll be doing: Develop an annual event marketing strategy encompassing all our events - large brand events, networking events, partnered events, webinars, and conferences - with an eye on maximizing ROI and supporting business objectives Manage, mentor, and develop a team of talented, commercially minded event marketers, establishing best practices and helping to drive operational efficiencies Work with broader marketing team to optimize existing channels for event promotion (e.g. paid media, email, organic social, etc.) while identifying new ways to drive lead generation and new contact acquisition through event programs Review event performance and KPIs to evaluate success, identify best practice and learnings to apply going forward Lead the team around successful planning and execution of our conference media partnership program, from partnership negotiation and speaker coordination to brand advertisement selection and execution. Ensure the team is effectively identifying and securing speakers for events/webinars with a focus on delivering engaging content through a diverse set of industry leaders Develop and maintain knowledge of the alternatives industry as well as keeping up to date on the company's products, customers, and marketplace. What you'll bring to us:

Prior experience in events marketing, field marketing, partnership marketing Proven project management experience, mitigating risks, and effectively managing timelines and budget Experience influencing senior leaders, driving consensus among multiple stakeholders with diverse priorities Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and familiarity with marketing automation (Pardot) and event platforms (Zoom, Eventbrite). Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% Prior experience in financial markets or services preferred
