LMCU is looking for an experienced Senior Creative Director who will provide leadership for the creative team to drive, elevate, and evolve the LMCU brand through compelling creative and strategic experiences, messaging, and design. The Senior Creative Director will guide and develop concepting and execution of campaigns and overall creative direction for all communication channels, including print, broadcast, OTT, radio, out-of-home, email, direct mail, and digital marketing, plus LMCU website, and more. This role will have direct responsibility for a team of design and copywriting marketing professionals and will report directly to LMCU's Chief Marketing Officer. This position is responsible for delivering consistent and integrated brand messaging, plus high-quality creative that helps differentiate the LMCU brand and supports best-in-class member and customer experiences that drives demand and supports the goals of our business units/support groups, as well as the Community Relations and Marketing departments and LMCU as a whole.
What you'll do:
Manage the creative team and provide design direction and creative leadership to the team through effective goal setting, appropriate delegation and strong and effective communication. Develop individual staff to help them grown their skill sets through internal creative efforts, LMCU's professional development and other channels as needed. Identify training needs, coaching and mentoring, as appropriate. Interview, hire and assign staff, as needed. Conduct regular mentoring sessions with the team and annual performance evaluations intended to assist the team in achieving their full potential. Direct and lead the creative team to address creative briefs to fulfill LMCU, LMCU business unit, and LMCU brand goals. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of forward-thinking campaign ideas applied to digital, print, video, website, email and many other channels. Create and manage creative strategies to help improve LMCU's points of difference, serve our business units and members, while also enhancing and maintaining LMCU's brand and image. Must be a collaborative partner across the marketing leadership team. Lead the creation of and approve various marketing campaigns based on solid brand strategy, solving brand and business unit challenges through creative solutions across multiple marketing disciplines. Oversee new marketing campaign development and presentation to LMCU leadership and business groups. Lead ideation, development, and presentation of creative strategies and other large-scale campaigns to communicate the demonstrable value LMCU offers. Strategically align creative concepts and interactive designs with marketing strategies and LMCU's overall brand direction. Develop and coordinate brand consistency (brand standards) in graphic formats, images,typographical style, voice, and design imagery across all channels insuring consistency. Deliver creative solutions and brand voice that clearly communicates LMCU's value proposition with clarity and consistency. Educate our team, our members, prospective new members, and business groups on the benefits of banking with LMCU. Effectively lead and track performance for the overall creative team and develop reporting and presentations to demonstrate the overall performance of the creative team. Manage the Creative Services budget and set and manage performance KPIs. Develop creative briefs and deliver presentations to business groups along with providing input and direction as appropriate. Stay well-informed of technological innovations and the latest best practices/trends in AI, AR, digital and graphic design across all channels. Network and develop client and industry relationships by attending industry events and being a thought leader developing and fostering ongoing relationships that are authentic to themselves, the credit union and each business group. Continually deepen understanding of the credit union and banking industry and stay educated on the latest trends impacting our marketing communication efforts and the unique nuances of our Florida and Michigan markets. A minimum of eight years to 10 years of similar or related experience in the creative field. Experience as a creative practitioner in graphic or digital design, motion graphics or copywriting is a plus. Prior experience leading a Creative team is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in a related creative field preferred, or comparable professional experience. Strong working knowledge of Adobe creative suite. Other video and motion graphic platform knowledge is a plus.
