Description The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program with the City of Round Rock is designed to provide an on-the-job opportunity to gain "real world" work experience in a career-related professional workforce environment. This is an administrative internship program. This is a special project-based internship with the Round Rock Public Library to assist the library outreach team with the launch of the Pop-Library program. The intern will gain hands-on valuable experience with library outreach services, collection development, delivery services, programming, project management, and customer service. Bilingual and/or digital marketing skills are preferred but not required. The intern will be required to push library book carts, ride as a passenger in the Library's delivery van, and also work outdoors in various weather climates and conditions. Examples of Duties Assists customers in locating materials and information. Works with library team to formulate goals, plans, and procedures for promoting and implementing delivery and outreach library services. Selects and delivers books and materials for delivery. Works with community partners for outreach services and programs. Provides instructions on the use of library resources including electronic resources. Comply with all library policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining the library's equipment and vehicles; performs minor maintenance as required. Ability to effectively use a variety of tablets and devices and incorporate technology into programming and other public services. Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Load and unload book carts and other outreach equipment. This requires lifting up to 40 pounds and pushing carts up to 75 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience and Training

Enrolled full-time with, or recent graduate of, an accredited university or college; and Must be classified as an Undergrad or Graduate student and able provide an unofficial transcript and resume; and Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0
