Position Summary...

What you'll do...

User Discovery: Requires knowledge of user experience strategies, user interviews and surveys, user journeys, storyboards, and contextual inquiries. To understand user requirements by conducting interviews and surveys and by assisting in creating user journey and storyboards. Conducts preliminary activities to assist with user research and user experience strategy development. Develops an understanding of trends in user consumption habits. Explores user problems and content requirements. Analyzes qualitative user data with guidance.

Managing Functional Partnerships: Requires knowledge of stakeholder identification and mapping, stakeholder analysis, communication, engagement techniques, and management effectiveness tools. Understand the interests and profiles of key stakeholders to manage functional relationships. Analyze stakeholder technical needs and partner with them to share relevant information. Engage with business partners periodically and establish credibility for exchanging functional information.

Design Research: Requires knowledge of principles of research, best practices of qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis techniques, and emerging methods for obtaining relevant information. Independently propose hypotheses for research. Provide inputs to modify research approaches and execution plans. Guides research processes with inputs regarding type, quality, and quantity of data and information to be collected. Verifies the reliability and accuracy of information through detailed checks.

Influencing and Building Stakeholder Consensus: Requires knowledge of verbal/non-verbal behaviors, business communication styles, and interpersonal skills. Communicate articulately and concisely in stakeholder meetings involving multiple teams. Build productive, collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Influence teams and stakeholders to take meaningful action with sound recommendations.

Driving Customer/Client Needs: Requires knowledge of customer and business problems, dependencies, and impacts on product processes. Seek and analyze user feedback to understand areas of improvement for products/services. Identifies potential process improvements to enhance customer experiences.

Usability Testing and Iteration: Requires knowledge of user profiles, testing scenarios, and documentation. Understand the basics of testing against a design specification. Identifies major activities and documents associated with user acceptance testing.

At Sam's Club, we offer competitive pay, performance-based bonuses, and benefits including health, financial, and paid time off.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 2 years’ experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.

Option 2: 4 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications...

Driving product development in a design research area, Master's degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area. Related industry experience, research or design certification, and knowledge of accessibility best practices.
