Audio Visual Engineering Specialist

Position Reports to: Manager AV-Engineering

Home Office: Mid Campus Building 1 & Faculty Center Tower

100% On-Site

Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm (No Overtime)

Candidate should be flexible as the position could require after-hour and weekend work

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience designing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting large AV Systems.
  2. Experience programming CRESTRON, AMX, QSYS, BiAMP.
  3. Functional experience working with: Dante, NVX, HdBT, IP, AMX, Extron, SRT, RSTP, RTMP.
  4. Troubleshooting: IPTV, RF, AMX, DMX.
  5. Experience with: AutoCad, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere.

SUMMARY

Provides the necessary technical knowledge and skills required to perform hands-on operation and maintenance of CCTV, FTG, and On Demand TV equipment, Multimedia, Control systems, and related equipment to meet manufacturers, FCC rules & regulations, and established industry standards for the above systems, equipment and deliverables.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Videoconference Room Maintenance

Provide videoconference room and distance learning classroom support. This includes, but is not limited to, room systems configuration, relocating support equipment to meet client's needs, room system technical operations, acting as a facility host and securing the room at the end of the event.

Multimedia Audio/Video Systems Maintenance and Installation

Assists with the maintenance and installation of MDA Videoconference-multimedia audio/video systems in the institution's various conference rooms, auditoriums, and classrooms. This includes assisting with the installation of new systems, maintaining audio/visual systems and other related systems.

Audio/Video Systems Operations

Operate in a knowledgeable and efficient manner, all equipment and systems used in daily TOC activities. Included, but are not limited to, tape duplication, satellite uplink/downlink transmissions, routing of audio/video signals to the appropriate destination, operational/setup of CODEC equipment and equipment for Streaming Media.

Television Engineering Support for Television Productions

Engineering support for UTTV productions.

Other Duties as Required

Assist other MSAT groups with video related tasks.

EDUCATION

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Seven years of experience. Five years of experience required with an Associate's degree and three years of experience required with a Bachelor's degree.
