As the Vice President, Creative Services, you will lead and manage the Big Loud Records creative team. You will be responsible for overseeing the label’s creative initiatives as it pertains to artist development & branding. This role requires a collaborative, natural leader with an excellent understanding of all creative pillars – photography, graphic design, video (long & short form), production, etc. In this role, you’ll oversee a team of designers, photographers, videographers, content creators, and outsourced creative while also managing and hitting project timelines.
What you’ll do:
- Understand all facets of the creative services team and have the ability to speak each pillar’s language - video, photo, design, short form content, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain deep and effective working relationships with artists, artist managers, internal and external partners, and team members across the label.
- Seek to maintain a high level of knowledge on each artist, understand their brand DNA, creative goals, and navigate the best path alongside the team & various label departments to achieve successful execution.
- Oversee creative archives/database for each artist and corporate projects/events to house creative output (videos, photos, artwork, ads, trade photos, event content, etc).
- Lead the creative process from ideation to execution, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of design assets, photography, video production, messaging, and brand integrity.
- Work closely and communicate with Marketing, A&R, Radio, and management teams to develop and execute creative campaigns.
- Develop and maintain a rolodex of commissionable party creatives.
- Oversee and manage third-party and outsourced creative projects, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Act as the point person for distributing creative assets to internal teams, external partners, and distribution platforms.
- Develop innovative creative strategies to elevate artist presence across various media platforms.
- Manage the creative department’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Support additional record label initiatives and provide creative direction as requested by leadership.
About you:
- 8+ Years of progressive experience in a similar capacity within a record label.
- Strong background and technical skill in art direction, graphic design, and multimedia content creation.
- Experience managing creative teams and external partners, with a track record of executing high-quality visual content.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Hands-on experience in the creative process – concepting, design development, and execution.
- Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills with a desire to motivate teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with many different departments, as well as leadership across the organization and artist teams.
