Job Description

We’re seeking a creative and tech-savvy Video Editor to play a crucial role in our AI-powered news production team. In this exciting position, you’ll transform AI-generated scripts into visually stunning and engaging news content for digital platforms. You’ll work with cutting-edge AI tools and popular video editing software to create short-form news videos that captivate viewers across social media. Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling newscasts using AI-generated scripts and specialized software, bringing stories to life through visual storytelling.
  • Utilize CapCut to design eye-catching graphics and dynamic backgrounds that enhance the narrative of each news piece.
  • Produce a range of video content, from quick 3-minute updates to in-depth 20-minute features, tailoring each to platform-specific requirements.
  • Create attention-grabbing thumbnail graphics that drive viewer engagement and increase click-through rates.
  • Manage the distribution of finished newscasts across various social media platforms, including Facebook, ensuring optimal timing and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the AI team to refine scripts and occasionally contribute to the writing process, adding a human touch to AI-generated content.
  • Maintain a consistent workflow to ensure timely creation and posting of multiple news pieces daily.
  • Uphold brand consistency and quality standards across all produced content, adapting to evolving platform trends and audience preferences.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in video editing software, with particular expertise in CapCut.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating graphics and visual content optimized for online and mobile viewing.
  • Strong understanding of social media content management and platform-specific best practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently with AI-generated content and scripts, with a keen eye for enhancing and humanizing automated output.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of juggling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Quick learner with the adaptability to master new software and AI tools as they emerge in this rapidly evolving field.
  • Basic understanding of current events and news media landscape to ensure relevance and accuracy in content production.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts to align with US Pacific Time zone, if required.
  • Portfolio showcasing video editing skills, graphic design abilities, and social media content creation is a plus.

Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
