Freelance Short Film Producer Wanted – Budgeting & Full Project Support

We are seeking an experienced freelance short film producer to help bring our (fully-financed) project to life from pre-production through post. The ideal candidate will be skilled in budgeting, breakdowns, and overall production management, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.

• Short film (script ready)
• Likely shooting in Los Angeles, New Mexico, or Arizona
• Independent production with a dedicated creative team
• Paid position (please send rates)

Responsibilities:

• Create a detailed budget and breakdown based on the script
• Assist with scheduling, hiring crew, and securing locations
• Oversee production logistics, ensuring an efficient workflow
• Support post-production coordination as needed
• Provide guidance on permits, insurance, and other production requirements

Requirements:

• Experience producing short films or similar projects
• Strong budgeting and scheduling skills
• Knowledge of production logistics in LA, NM, or AZ (preferred)
• Well-connected with local crews, vendors, and resources
• Organized, proactive, and adaptable to indie film challenges
