Substitute Librarian (Part Time)

Part-Time, up to 18 hours per week, shifts will vary; may include days, evenings, and weekend hours.
STARTING RATE (through 6/30/25): $22.50/hour
POSITION RANGE (through 6/30/25): $22.50-$23.50/hour
STARTING RATE (effective 7/1/25): $23.00/hour
POSITION RANGE (effective 7/1/25): $23.00-$24.00/hour
The Substitute Librarian provides assistance to library patrons in the selection, acquisition, organization, and use of books, periodicals, and materials, as well as searching of databases, using online tools, and automated indexes. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with the public is required. Municipal library experience is preferred. Comfortable with technology, ability to work with patrons of all ages, and one year of reference experience desired. A Master’s degree in Library Science and computer skills are required. Bilingual skills and experience with library software systems, particularly SIRSI, are preferred.
