Join Danny Wimmer Presents and help bring our iconic music festivals to life. We’re searching for an experienced Social Media Director to lead the strategy, management and execution of our festival channels, ensuring every post captures the unique spirit of each event. You’ll be responsible for driving follower growth, boosting ticket sales and building an engaged fan community through creative content and strategic campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Content Strategy & Execution: Develop and manage content calendars for all festival and corporate social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn) to ensure consistent brand representation. Oversee creative, copy, and timing of posts, integrating sales pushes, fan education, talent highlights, and community engagement in a cohesive, actionable plan that resonates with hard rock and heavy metal fans.
- Community Engagement & Monitoring: Foster authentic fan engagement by proactively monitoring comments and leading discussions, building strong community relationships. Track sentiment and share relevant insights with the Marketing and Customer Success teams for informed, responsive action.
- Performance Analysis & KPI Tracking: Define and evaluate measurable KPIs across all social media activities, providing weekly reports on key metrics. Continuously refine strategies based on performance data to enhance reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Platform & Brand Management: Securely manage all social media accounts, maximizing each platform’s features to strengthen brand identity, build festival traditions, drive email opt-ins, and drive app downloads. Collaborate with artist marketing team to produce engaging, interactive content in collaboration with our festival lineups.
- Team and Growth Leadership: Oversee the social media team and agency partners, ensuring strategic alignment and efficiency. Identify key growth opportunities to drive year-over-year increases in audience size, engagement, and brand visibility across all platforms.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- 7+ years of social media or marketing experience, preferably in the music industry or live entertainment
- Proficient in social media channels and content management systems
- Experience developing and executing social media strategies that drive both engagement and ticket sales
- Ability to travel to events as required (~10 weeks per year)
- You bring a positive attitude to the office every day
This position is hybrid in Nashville, TN. The estimated salary range for this position ranges from $80,000 - $125,000 and includes medical/dental/vision/401k benefits. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DWP's total compensation package for employees.
