WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
S.H.A.R.E. Community Development Corp (SCDC) is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, self-starter to join our team as a Social Media Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, growing, and fostering a vibrant online community. This role requires the ability to drive brand awareness, as well as increase engagement and follower growth.
Compensation And Benefits
Salary: $65,000 annual paid bi-weekly
Full Time Benefits: After completion of a probationary period, you will be eligible for full-time company benefits.
Essential Job Requirements
- This is an individual contributor role, not a people manager role.
- This role requires daily (Monday to Friday) in-office work at our Headquarters - downtown Houston location. No exceptions can be granted.
- Represent SCDC and our brand with the highest degree of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
- Must wear business casual attire during work hours.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective presentation and listening skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail. Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools. Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for companies or enterprises, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter/ X, Pinterest, and TikTok.
- Experience with influencer marketing and collaborations.
- Corporate and/or marketing agency experience a plus. Bachelor’s Degree preferred but relevant experience accepted in lieu of education.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy and Content Management:
- Help develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy and content calendar aligned with SCDC’s brand identity and business goals.
- Post engaging, high-quality content including graphics, photos, videos, and copy provided by content creators (third party and in house).
- Be able to independently create and curate your own engaging and visually appealing content.
- Create relevant copy for the video, graphic, or photographic content.
Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster a positive and active online community by engaging with followers, influencers, and industry partners to expand reach and drive engagement.
Reporting
- Utilize analytics tools to track performance and optimize content and strategies based on data insights.
Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing and content creation teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns and goals for our brand.
- Collaborate with influencers and brand ambassadors to create authentic and impactful UGC (User Generated Content).
Staying Current
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep SCDC's social media presence innovative and fresh.
