About the team
We're looking for a talented software engineer to join our team, to help us build systems and services that power the technology behind Amazon Music Unlimited subscriptions. You will evaluate, learn and leverage innovative technologies, work across client and server stacks, and insist on the highest engineering standards for design, performance and quality.

You will work in a small and fast paced company environment, while still having access to all the resources of Amazon.com. We maintain a startup-like culture that values innovation, efficiency, and bias for action.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  3. Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
  4. 3+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience

COMPENSATION
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
