As an Experienced Service Writer, you will create a world-class automotive service experience by thoughtfully assessing the wants and needs of your customers in the service department.
What you'll be working on:
- Welcome guests, assess their service needs, and coordinate vehicle repairs using Xtime and CDK.
- Support customers throughout the entire service process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Generate work orders, manage check-in and delivery procedures, create and explain repair estimates, monitor service progress, and keep customers informed on their vehicle status.
- Communicate with customers regarding any changes to estimates or completion times, provide clear breakdowns of costs and timelines, and obtain proper approval before proceeding with additional services.
- Guide customers on proper vehicle upkeep and the benefits of staying up to date with manufacturer-recommended maintenance, using service menus.
What you need to bring to the table:
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience – on the phone/email, in the store, and after purchase
- 2+ years of previous Service Writer experience in a dealership
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record, DMV Check required
- X-Time and CDK experience is a plus
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
Salary: $36,000-$150,000/annually
*Pay is based on applicable experience and skills. This job is eligible for commissions based on individual sales metrics.
