The Workship – Writing Center Tutor position in Instructional Support Services is responsible for tutoring Troy University students in writing improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be current Troy University student
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Completion of English 1101/1102 or 1103/1104, earning at least a B in each course
- One recommendation from English faculty
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to the goals and objectives of the Writing Center
- Excellent writing skills as evidenced in application essay
- Willingness to help actively promote Learning Center services, events, and activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of APA Style, MLA Style, and/or other writing formats to help students avoid plagiarism issues
- Online and in-person tutoring experience
Work Hours
Varies according to Writing Center needs and student’s schedule.
