About this role: As a Substation Designer you will have a strong portfolio showcasing successful execution of large, complex projects, and have a proven track record in electrical engineering and design. Additionally, you will create and review detailed drawings, specification, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and feasibility. You will be designing the physical layout and infrastructure of electrical substations and ensuring substations are designed to be safe, efficient, and capable of meeting the electrical demands of a given area while maintaining compliance with technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities: You’ll lead the design process on complex projects

to ensure all design solutions meet client needs, quality standards, and project goals. You’ll prepare and review design documentation,

create and review detailed drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and feasibility. You’ll maintain project documentation

including scoping documents, design inputs, quality checklists, and project filing systems. You’ll oversee scope and quality review

processes for your projects

ensuring adherence to client specifications and high-quality standards. You’ll proactively monitor and resolve any technical issues or challenges

throughout the project lifecycle while managing time effectively to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. You’ll enjoy what you do . You’ll work with great people, continue to learn and grow, and have a good time doing it.

Must haves: Bachelor’s Degree Not Required . Having some college education is preferred but not required, and a focus in relevant fields such as electrical engineering, design, or a related discipline is a plus. 5 years of experience designing power delivery systems . You also have a proven track record in successfully executing large and complex projects. You have

an in-depth understanding of industry-standard design practices, codes, and regulations with a strong portfolio showcasing successful execution of large, complex projects, Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects and stakeholders. You’re a strong communicator

with the ability to engage with clients and cross-functional teams effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office

and

AutoCAD is a must.
