Position: Associate Creative Director

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Creative Director is responsible for delivering powerful and innovative creative campaigns that position Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) brands at the top of their respective industries. A leader within the marketing organization, the successful candidate will oversee creative concepting and copywriting while leading the creative project management function to produce timely, relevant, and integrated campaigns. These campaigns will serve many business functions including Marketing, Sales, Corporate Partnerships, Community Engagement, and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(Other duties may be assigned as required.)
- Refining our in-house creative philosophy and process to maximize internal resources: ingesting briefs, assigning resources, guiding conceptual development, and packaging and presenting work for feedback and approvals
- Conceptualizing creative ideas - big and small - to drive brand, ticketing, sponsorship retail, and community promotion; inclusive of tagline, manifesto, key art, and activations
- Leading development of integrated campaign assets ensuring TV, radio, digital, social, in-arena, PR, and experiential assets all align to the approved concept
- Writing copy for emails, push notifications, web and mobile experiences, and social posts across all CSE brands; in addition will support game presentation and communications departments with high-visibility communications (proof reading, editing)
- Elevating the creativity of our marketing communications to be the NHL's best in class
- Other duties may be assigned as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Over five years working at a creative agency or in-house studio
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, turning insights into ideas into action
- Strong background in copywriting and editing with the ability to teach and elevate our staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to optimize a company-wide creative process
- Culturally-inclined with a good understanding of how to authentically apply trends to our brands
- Digitally-savvy with proven experience creating for new media
- A collaborative leader with the ability to effectively communicate concepts and to work both independently and as part of a team
- A multi-tasker who is able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on quality and proactive communication with stakeholders
