Position Summary: The AE, Brand Public Relations, is a multi-faceted role within a dynamic brand PR team for the world’s largest cruise line, Royal Caribbean International, working to maintain and underscore favorable awareness and public image for the brand and its experiences. This team member should be a communications and public relations professional, capable of assisting in directing projects and project teams, and producing content of the highest caliber. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in executing strategies to secure impactful media coverage for Royal Caribbean International, subject matter experts, products & services, and events, including pitching and engaging reporters, facilitating media interviews and support for executives. Build and maintain key professional relationships with significant media outlets. Help to direct the activities of external agencies and internal teams as needed. Independently develop and execute appropriate strategies to address communications challenges. Coordinate significant communications programs, which may include promotions, press trips, press conferences, executive briefing, etc. Create innovative approaches to generating coverage in the media, draft press releases, talking points and statements. Track press coverage, write coverage reports and create and maintain clips and media lists. Foster productive professional relationships with internal stakeholders to collaborate on opportunities that support company initiatives. Coordinate individual press trip requests and liaise with appropriate personnel on requests. Stay abreast of latest industry developments, trends, and shifts in the travel industry.
